As dedicated as I am in rugby it became one of my many down falls. I broke my arm during a game against Queen Elizabeth(#1 Team) and we ALMOST won. We lost by one point in the last 5 minutes and my injury gave the team a vote of confidence. My arm is now made of titanium and still healing. The game was pretty scary. The biggest guy ran through the forwards and the left wing and he was running to my wing. Everyone was scared of tackling him which left it up to me to make a strong solo tackle on him and stop the try. He started running towards the try lane and I ran straight for him. I jumped to tackle him but the collision threw me to the nearby pole which threw me on the ground. I can't really remember what happened and how I fell but I heard it was really bad. Next thing I knew I woke up on the ground face-first. I thought my arm was bruised until I tried to move it. Everyone went on their knees for 10 minutes until I walked to the ambulance, casted. Apparently I stopped the try by myself but I won't be playing sports for a bit.

It sounds like you are doing such a great job outside of PE. Keep up the good work and the effort and stop hurting yourself in rugby.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics! I have a pic exactly the same... in a muddy rugby jersey headed to surgery (on my leg though... its titanium too) and we lost the game on a last second kick. Funny how similar they are.
